Development of Bowling in China (29/12/12)

More than 40 participants joined the first China Lawn Bowls Training Class and Lawn Bowls Umpires Introduction Class in Shenzhen Beijiashan Park from 22-24 Dec 2012.

More than 40 participants joined the first China Lawn Bowls Training Class and Lawn Bowls Umpires Introduction Class in Shenzhen Beijiashan Park from 22-24 Dec 2012.

The event, organized by the Chinese Multi-Bowls Association received strong support from a number of sports bureaus and education institutions from various provinces such as Leshan Vocational & Technical College, Shanghai Maritime University, Quzhou Sports Bureau, Henan Hebi Education Bureau, Zhejiang Industry & Trade Vocational College, Xi’an Physical Education University, Jiaxing Vocational Technical College and Henan Polytechnic University.

Other participants came from commercial organizations including Sinopec, Juhua Group, Jinlida Chemical Fiber Co. Ltd and Yanggu Group.

After three days of training, the members joined the bowlers from Guangzhou, Zhongshan, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Hong Kong and Macao to compete in the 2012 National Provincial Cities, Hong Kong & Macau Lawn Bowls Championship on 25-26 December.

The tournament consisted of 28 teams and after a tense competition, the trophy was lifted by the Lawn Bowls Training Center, with the runners-up being Tuen Mun Sports Association.
