Recruitments of Part-time National Coach and Coaching Officials for Hong Kong Team

National Coach (Part-time)

Duties :

1. To oversee the planning, design, implementation, evaluation, of the Lawn Bowls Elite Training programme in line with the agreed training and competition aims of the Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association (HKLBA) and Hong Kong Sports Institutes(HKSI);
2. To create systematic opportunities for talent to emerge through related programmes;
3. To monitor athlete performance through comprehensive, multi-method assessment and regular evaluation;
4. To provide timely and critically analyzed progress reports to the Hong Kong Sports Institute and Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association;
5. To be responsible for administrative matters related to local and overseas squad training and competitions;
6. To supervise High Performance Manager, part-time coaches and assistant coaches;
7. To travel with the HK team to oversea events; and
8. Reporting to VP (International) and High Performance Committee.

Requirements :

1.   Holder of a recognized coaching qualification equivalent to Hong Kong Coach Accreditation

Programme Level 2 Certificate or above;

2.   A minimum of 5 years coaching experience and proven record of achievement in coaching Lawn

Bowls athletes at national level or its equivalent;

3.   Represented Hong Kong China at Asia Pacific level or above;

4.   Eligible to represent Hong Kong at international lawn bowls tournaments;

5.   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

6.   More than 10 years regular bowling experience in Premier League Divisions 1 and 2;
7.   Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;

8.   PC literate in Word and Excel;

9.   Awareness / knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of

Hong Kong are an added advantage.

Remuneration :

$360 per hour – Subject to the candidate’s qualification with HKCAP and HKLBA.

High Performance Manager (Part-time)

Duties :

1. To assist the National Coach to oversee the planning, design, implementation, evaluation, of the Lawn Bowls Elite Training programme in line with the agreed training and competition aims of the Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association (HKLBA) and Hong Kong Sports Institutes(HKSI);
2. To monitor athlete performance through comprehensive, multi-method assessment and regular evaluation;
3. To provide timely and critically analyzed progress reports to the HKSI and HKLBA;
4. To be responsible for administrative matters related to local and overseas squad training and competitions;
5. To supervise part-time coaches and assistant coaches;
6. To travel with the HK team to oversea events; and
7. Reporting to VP (International) and High Performance Committee.

Requirements :

Coach / Assistant Coach (Part-time)

Duties :

1.    To assist the National Coach and High Performance Manager to oversee the planning, design,     implementation, evaluation, of the Lawn Bowls Elite Training programme in line with the agreed        training and competition aims of the Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association (HKLBA) and Hong       Kong Sports Institutes(HKSI);

1. To monitor athlete performance through comprehensive, multi-method assessment and regular      evaluation;
2. To provide timely and critically analyzed progress reports to the HKSI and HKLBA;
3. To be responsible for administrative matters related to local and overseas squad training and   competitions;

5.    To travel with the HK team to oversea events; and

6.    Reporting to the National Coach and the High Performance Manager.

Requirements :

1.    Holder of a recognized coaching qualification equivalent to Hong Kong Coach Accreditation Programme (HKCAP) Level 1 Certificate; or

2.    A minimum of 3 years coaching experience (with proven record of achievement in coaching Lawn Bowls athletes at national level or its equivalent); or

4.    Represented Hong Kong China as a Player or Coach at any other sports at Asia Pacific level or above;

5.    Eligible to represent Hong Kong at international lawn bowls tournaments;

6.    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

7.    More than 5 years regular bowling experience in Premier League Divisions 1 and/or 2;
