The Lawn Bowls Association of Hong Kong, China is deeply saddened to express our condolences to President Vincent Cheung, who passed away peacefully last night, April 12.
Since becoming our President in 1999, Vincent dedicated his life to advancing lawn bowls in Hong Kong, leaving behind an extraordinary legacy of passion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the sport. His contributions not only enriched the lawn bowls community but also inspired countless individuals to appreciate the game’s beauty and camaraderie.
Vincent received a Commendation Award from the Hong Kong Government for his significant contribution to the sport of lawn bowls in 2008.
Well-known in the bowls community locally and globally, Vincent holds the record of the longest serving president in any bowls organization around the world.
His impact will be felt for generations, and he will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
