Hong Kong was invited to take part in the bowls tournament to celebrate the Australian Bicentenary and held at Tweed Heads in New South Wales.
Hong Kong Mens team consisted of Noel Kennedy, Mel Stewart, Ian Ho, Bill McMahon, and Mark McMahon.
Hong Kong Ladies team consisted of Joan Humpreys, Rosemary McMahon, Naty Rozario, Lena Sadick, and Rae O’Donnell.
Hong Kong team won a Silver Medal in Men’s Fours. The players were Mel Stewart, Ian Ho, Bill McMahon, and Mark McMahon.
