The Development Team has the responsibility to raise the profile of the sport of lawn bowls so that it is well known, respected and recognised by the general public and government authorities.
The goal is to get more people to play the sport and to increase the retention rate of players. In considering the development of our sport we will look at:
- Awareness of the sport among the general public
- Image of the sport
- Access and approach to the general public, and to certain bodies in the community in particular the education sector
- Introducing the sport to the youth
- Maintaining and to grow the existing membership
- Making the sport more attractive
- Emphasizing the sporting, quality, leisure and social aspects of the game.
