In addition to the league and national competitions, the Lawn Bowls Association of Hong Kong, China will organize an international tournament, the International Bowls Classic, annually to provide opportunities for local players to compete against top players from around the world.
Other events are also arranged on an ad-hoc basis, such as the China-Hong Kong-Macau tournament and some fundraising events.
Affiliate clubs also work with the Association to arrange special tournaments for the bowls community to mark special occasions.
Hong Kong China will become the first Asian city to host the World Bowls Junior Indoor Championship in December this year. The prestigious event, which allows youngsters from around the world to showcase their bowling talent, was first commenced in 2005 and has been played on 15 occasions.
