The Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2011. To celebrate and record this notable occasion, a souvenir programme will be produced and published in May 2011. Two thousand copies of the souvenir programme will be distributed to local clubs, bowlers and overseas bowling associations.
In addition to the league and national competitions, the Lawn Bowls Association of Hong Kong, China will organize an international tournament, the International Bowls Classic, annually to provide opportunities for local players to compete against top players from around the world.
Other events are also arranged on an ad-hoc basis, such as the China-Hong Kong-Macau tournament and some fundraising events.
Affiliate clubs also work with the Association to arrange special tournaments for the bowls community to mark special occasions.
