League game in progress

Lawn Bowls Association of Hong Kong, China organises two league competitions every year, the Premier League and the Triples League.

A match comprises 18 ends and is played between sides of three teams of four players. Each player bowls two bowls per end. Each side plays home and away against every other side in the same division during a season.

Eight points are be contested each match, with two points awarded to each winning team, one point if there are tied teams, and two bonus points to the side winning the highest total of shots scored. If the total shots are tied, one bonus point will be awarded to each side.

The last two teams of each division will be relegated at the end of the season, while the top two teams will be promoted to the division above.

Triples League

Previously known as the Winter League, the Triples League is played between the Premier League seasons, usually from November to February.  A match is played between sides of three teams of three players where each player delivers three bowls per end.

Each side plays half of the games at home and half away against every other side in the same division during a season.

Similar to the Premier League, eight points are be contested each match, with two points awarded to each winning team, one point if there are tied teams, and two bonus points to the side winning the highest total of shots scored. If the total shots are tied, one bonus point will be awarded to each side.
