A number of open competitions in various formats are organized by the Lawn Bowls Association of Hong Kong, China around the year.
These range from championship tournaments for bowlers of the highest calibre to competitions for juniors and novices, in addition to one-day gala-type events to promote the sport of lawn bowls.
These competitions are normally held on Sundays and mid-week evenings.
Finals days are usually held at bowls clubs twice a year when all finalists converge to compete for the highest honour. Members of the public are welcome to watch these top bowlers in action.
Four championship events below are classified as Premier Championships where bowlers are able to accumulate points for the “Bowler of the Year Award”. The 2x4x2 Pairs and Knock-out Singles competitions have also been added to the BOTY points system in 2022.
