The 5th British Empire and Commonwealth Games were held in Vancouver, in the province of British Columbia in Canada, from 30 July-7 August 1954.
Hong Kong team consisted of Eric J. Liddell, Alfred E. Coates, Jose A. da Luz, Raoul F. da Luz, and Robert S. Gourlay.
Alfred E. Coates, Jose A. da Luz, Raoul F. da Luz, and Robert S. Gourlay won a Silver medal in Men’s Fours.
