Recently there were queries about players practice on the same rink before a match, we would like to point out that Law 12.3 clearly stated that: “If, before play starts, a player in a competition or game plays on the same rink on the day of the competition or game, that player will be disqualified.”
That means a player can practice or play on the same green but not the same rink on the day of the competition, unless it is specifically instructed by the controlling body. The HKLBA will take such cases seriously as it is against the basic rules of the game.
Please note that lawn bowls is a gentleman’s game and fair play is a key element in the sport. We urge all bowlers to follow the rules and treat your opponents fairly.
