Memo – Use of chalks on greens

We received notice from the management of the Taipo Waterfront Park saying that some of the greens had deteriorated due to the frequent use of chalks by some players.  Part of the rinks, especially at the T-spot and the center line, was damaged as a result of the chemical reaction between the chalk and the natural grass surface.

To better protect the greens, LBA urges all bowlers to refrain from using chalks to mark the T-spot or draw lines on the rink.  Such practice should apply for both natural grass or artificial greens.

Your cooperation on this is very important to maintain a good condition for the greens.
