Following our recent success in the Asia Bowls, and for better preparation for Asia Pacific 2015 and World Bowls 2016, further plans have been implemented as to strengthen our Hong Kong Team. One of the initiatives will be the recruitments of more coaches and coach assistants for the forthcoming Hong Kong Team trainings.

Coaches / Coach Assistants (Part-time)
Duties
1) To assist the National Coach and National Coach Assistant to oversee the planning, design, implementation and evaluation of the National Squad Training programme in line with the agreed training and competition aims of the HKLBA and Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI);
2) To monitor athletes performance through comprehensive, multi-method assessments and regular evaluations;
3) To provide timely and critically analytical progress reports to the HKSI and HKLBA;
4) To be responsible for administrative matters related to local and overseas squad trainings and competitions;
5) Require to travel with the HK team to oversea events; and
6) Reporting to the National Coach and the National Coach Assistant.
Qualification/ Requirements
1) Holder of a recognized coaching qualification equivalent to Hong Kong Coach Accreditation Programme(HKCAP) Level 1 Certificate; or
2) A minimum of 3 years coaching experience ( with proven record of achievement in coaching Lawn Bowls athletes at national level or its equivalent); or
3) Represented Hong Kong China at Asia level or above for more than 3 years; or
4) Represented Hong Kong China as a Player or Coach at any other sports at Asia Pacific level or above;
5) Eligible to represent Hong Kong at international lawn bowls tournaments;
6) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
7) More than 5 years regular bowling experience in Premier League Divisions 1 and/or 2;
8) Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
9) PC literate in Word and Excel; and
10) Awareness / knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage.
Remuneration
Coach Assistant / Coach (Part-time): $150/hr (level 1), $250 (level 2), $350 (level 3) – Subject to the candidate’s qualification with HKCAP and HKLBA.
