With the support from the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI) since 2013 as a Tier B Elite Sport and the success of bidding 2024 World Bowls Championship, HKLBA is pleased to recruit a National Coach and a number of Coaching Officials to assist in improving the performance of the Hong Kong Team.
Applicants are now invited for these posts and your support would be appreciated. The posts are crucial elements of our development plan, and require a high level of dedication and commitment.

2) Regular training : Victoria Park (Every Monday, 7pm-10pm)
3) Pre-tournament training will be subject to training plans

National Coach (Part-time) Duties :
Requirements : 1. Holder of a recognized coaching qualification equivalent to Hong Kong Coach Accreditation Programme Level 2 Certificate or above; 2. A minimum of 5 years coaching experience and proven record of achievement in coaching Lawn Bowls athletes at national level or its equivalent; 3. Represented Hong Kong China at Asia Pacific level or above; 4. Eligible to represent Hong Kong at international lawn bowls tournaments; 5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; 6. More than 10 years regular bowling experience in Premier League Divisions 1 and 2; 8. PC literate in Word and Excel; 9. Awareness / knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage. Remuneration : $360 per hour – Subject to the candidate’s qualification with HKCAP and HKLBA. |
High Performance Manager (Part-time)
Duties :
Requirements : 1. Holder of a recognized coaching qualification equivalent to Hong Kong Coach Accreditation Programme Level 2 Certificate or; 2. A minimum of 3 years coaching experience (and proven record of achievement in coaching Lawn Bowls athletes at national level or its equivalent) or; 3. Represented Hong Kong China at Asia Pacific level or above for more than 10 years or; 4. Represented Hong Kong China as a Player or Coach at any other sports at Asia Pacific level or above; 5. Eligible to represent Hong Kong at international lawn bowls tournaments; 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; 7. More than 5 years regular bowling experience in Premier League Divisions 1 and 2; 8. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; 9. PC literate in Word and Excel; 10. Awareness / knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage. Coach / Assistant Coach (Part-time)
Duties : 1. To assist the National Coach and High Performance Manager to oversee the planning, design, implementation, evaluation, of the Lawn Bowls Elite Training programme in line with the agreed training and competition aims of the Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association (HKLBA) and Hong Kong Sports Institutes(HKSI);

Holder of a recognized coaching qualification equivalent to Hong Kong Coach Accreditation Programme (HKCAP) Level 1 Certificate; or 2. A minimum of 3 years coaching experience (with proven record of achievement in coaching Lawn Bowls athletes at national level or its equivalent); or 3. Represented Hong Kong China at Asia level or above for more than 3 years; or 4. Represented Hong Kong China as a Player or Coach at any other sports at Asia Pacific level or above; 5. Eligible to represent Hong Kong at international lawn bowls tournaments; 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; 7. More than 5 years regular bowling experience in Premier League Divisions 1 and/or 2; 8. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; 9. PC literate in Word and Excel; and 10.
