The First World Bowls Championship was staged by the Australian Bowls Council on behalf of the International Bowling Board between 10th and 23rd October 1966 in the New South Wales League club Bowling Club at Kyeemagh.
16 competing teams came from different cuontries or colonies.
Hong Kong was represented by Augusto Pedro Pereira (Captain), Eduardo Maria Remedios, Abdul Rahem Kitchell, Eric John Liddell, and Ronald Raymond Girard. Team manager was James Henry Goodman.
